About Beat of Tayport (Joiners) Ltd

Our business was originally established in the late 1890s, carrying out cabinet making and joinery repairs for the local community based in a small workshop created from a converted cottage in Castle Street Tayport.

In 1936 John C. Beat joined the business as an apprentice and in the early 1960s became it's owner.

in 1967 the business name was changed to BEAT OF TAYPORT (JOINERS) Ltd. and over the years the range of our projects has increased.

Now a family business, operating from our office and workshops in William Street, we continue to serve our domestic and commercial customers in North Fife and Dundee with all aspects of joinery including repairs, building maintenance, conversions, extensions, kitchens etc, often acting as main contractors for all trades.

We are members of the Federation of Master Builders. We are approved by Velux for the installation of their range of products and also approved by Sovereign Chemicals.

A large proportion of our work is acquired through customer referrals and repeat business. This is a result of our reputation for providing a high level of customer satisfaction and excellent value by carrying out superior quality work at very keen prices.

From period to ultra modern, whether your project is to repair, alter or extend your existing home, please contact us to arrange a visit to discuss your requirements.
